Lace1 avaIn the 1800s, people of some European countries widely used lace to adorn their clothing, underwear, shoes, and accessories. These pieces were delicate, sophisticated, and looked exquisite. Here is a collection of such garments decorated with lace from 19th-century Europe, particularly France and Russian Empire. They might seem ordinary today, but at the time, not everyone could afford these garments, they were worn by the rich.

These clothing pieces are from Yaremche Museum of Carpathian Region Ethnography and Ecology, Ivano-Frankivsk region of Ukraine.
