She is wearing a long embroidered shirt (embellished with whitework), a wide skirt with velvet trimming, a hand-woven belt, expensive laced leather shoes, a long pleated waistcoat called “gorset”, a set of colorful ribbons in her hair, a few rows of fake coral necklaces, a silver pendant made from a coin called “dukach”, and a silver cross.
This is a cute costume from Transcarpathian region of Ukraine (the very western part of the country), the late 19th – early 20th century. She is wearing a long embroidered shirt with colorful embroidery, a skirt called “podolok”, an apron called “plat”, woolen hand-knit socks called “kaptsi”, leather shoes called “postoly”, a beadwoven choker, several rows of glass beaded necklaces, and a bright kerchief on her head.
