The cosplay skateboarder became a real YouTube star recently. He’s a Chinese young man making lovely skateboard performances dressed in traditional clothes and other striking costumes. When skateboarding, he wears Chinese traditional outfits, various cosplay costumes, military uniforms, Chinese opera costumes, and even women’s everyday hanfu (female flowing skirts look wonderful when he does tricks) – a whole variety of different eye-catching ensembles. Chinese folk attire is perfect for such performances because the garments are loose, flowing, made from silk, embellished with gorgeous prints, and flutter beautifully in the wind. Though it’s hard to skateboard in this clothing, the performance looks striking and attracts everybody’s attention. And surprisingly, no one has done anything like this before.
