There is one special feature of Lebanese traditional female dresses: they had (and sometimes still do) long sleeves that could be attached or detached if needed. Such sleeves were very richly embroidered and embellished. Many women wore these sleeves with their usual everyday dresses to make the attire festive and beautiful. Even today colorful embroidered sleeves are sold at some markets separately from dresses. ;)

This is an awesome idea! Why don't we use it?! You're just changin sleeves of your shirt, and here you are in a totally new one. I could make a business on it :)
