Children in Tunisia wear jewelry

Children in Tunisia are allowed to wear plenty of jewelry. Tunisian little girls sometimes have more gold jewelry than grown-up women in other countries do. But they wear traditional jewelry rather than the European-style jewelry. For example, children use “rayhana”, “khajla”, “hjer”, “tlila” and other traditional pieces. My guess is that such jewelry is used not only to show the wealth of the family, but they also are like some kind of amulets and talismans for kids. And, of course, girls look fabulous and very festive with those tiny necklaces and golden embroidery on clothes.
