National costume of Alaska

Alaska people wear very warm clothing. And it is obvious). They use outer and inner pullover tops called “parkas” or “kuspuks”, outer and inner pants, warm socks, gloves and boots. Clothes are made from caribou skin (fur facing inward for inner pullovers and pants and outwards for outerwear). Female’s pullovers can have a large hood to carry babies. Outerwear is often made from sea-mammal intestines, because it should be waterproof. Gloves are also made of fur and leather, they are very warm. Boots are made from animal skins.
On the photo below you can see women in traditional tops made of fur with a child in the hood.
