Shirtwaist, 1890s. According to FIDM, the shirtwaist first emerged in the 1860s as a casual daytime alternative to the matched bodice and skirt ensembles worn by nearly all well-dressed women. Most frequently worn by young women, the shirtwaist was usually paired with a dark-colored skirt and accessorized with a belt or sash.
Cute period accessory – the newsboy cap, 1900-1925. According to The McCord Museum, “This is the type of hat often worn by newsboys. It had the advantage of being light and warm. Many models had retractable earflaps that offered additional warmth in long winter nights”.
Charming pink chiffon dress from Ukraine, 1910. The dress is complemented by a hat, gloves, and a handbag. The petticoat is beige and with fringed hem. The dress is embroidered with metallic gray threads, decorated with fringe, and adorned with a flower made from beads. The hat has a curious shape, it is wide-brimmed and embellished with artificial pink flowers. The small handbag is decorated with embroidery and fringe.

The collar necklace and sleeves are made from beige French lace. The belt is bright crimson and is adorned with a large fabric flower. The hat is made from artificial flowers.
