Lithuanian traditional woven belts

Lithuanians use long woven belts of various colors and patterns with their folk dress. Both men and women wear them. The patterns on some belts are simpler and meant just to decorate the garment, other designs use sacred symbols (such belts work as amulets – at least people believe they do). But no matter what’s the purpose of weaving, Lithuanian traditional belts look beautiful.
