Palestinian traditional women’s outfits

The main garment of women’s folk clothing in Palestine is a basic thob – long loose garment with long sleeves. Its cut and decorations depended on the region of origin. But it was always embellished with the traditional Palestinian embroidery tatriz.

Traditional female headdress from Bethlehem area of Palestine (western part of the country). It is a high cylindrical hat, tied under the chin and decorated with plenty of coins, beads, and other decorative elements. This headgear is worn with a delicate white veil.
