Traditional Belarusian costumes are nothing like Polish, Russian, Slovak, Czezch. The differences depend on region, social status, gender, age, time of the year. Russian women wore sarafans, while Belarusian women wore vests.
Belarusian costumes are similar to northern Ukrainian, south-eastern Lithuanian, southern Latvian , north-eastern Polish, western Russian.
I will agree with sophiya that our (Belarusian) costumes have plenty red colour we share with our east Slavic brothers and sisters (Ukranians and Russians)

Ethnographers recognise around 40 different costumes in Belarus. These costumes are fashion of 18-19th centuries. In reality, Belarus had more costumes. The same can be said of Ukraine and Russia.
Belarusian traditional costumes are influenced by fashion of south-eastern Lithuanians and south-eastern Latvians. Southern Belarusians from Polessia had costumes similar to those of northern Ukraine. I've seen a woman from north-eastern Belarus wearing a sarafan which is Russian influence.
Clothes of Belarusian common folks didn't look Polish or Slovak except for clothing of upper class.
Girls and women from the region of my ancestry wore clothes similar to those of the Balts. The belts were important part of Belarusian attire indistinguishable from those of Lithuanian and Latvian. Villagers could walk out bear feet but not without belts.
