Festival of Ukrainian culture "Ethnic Village" in Israel (+photos)
A great family holiday was held in Israel in May, 2015. The festival was called "Ethnic Village" and was dedicated to Ukrainian-Israeli friendship. It was hosted by NGO «Israeli friends of Ukraine». Israelis learnt a lot about Ukrainian culture, cuisine, traditions and folk dress. Here you are some photos of Israelis and Ukrainians in national Ukrainian embroidered shirts and dresses with traditional accessories.

So called Jewish embroidered shirt appeared in Ukraine. It is a shirt with Jewish symbols on it – like Star of David and Menorah (a candelabrum for Hanukkah). The author of such pattern in unknown. But several craftsmen in Ukraine embroider Jewish shirts on demand of customers. Shirts and T-shirts with such patterns are gaining popularity among Ukrainians who have Israeli roots.
