Humans wore jewelry forever. During every historical era, every civilization made and used jewelry pieces. It was a symbol of status, wealth, elegance, and beauty, a very important part of any traditional or modern outfit. And not so long ago, there was an exhibition at The Met (The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, US) that showed a huge variety of vintage jewels from different corners of the world and different time periods.
